Did I Leave The Light On?

SHOW PUNCH

You are standing outside of a room with a closed door. Inside the room there is a lightbulb hanging from the ceiling.

Outside the door there are three light switches. The goal is to figure out which switch turns on the light.

You can only open the door once. How do you know which switch turns on the light.

Turn one switch on. Leave it on for fifteen minutes. Then, turn it off and turn the next switch on. Run inside the room and touch the bulb. If it is on, it's the switch you just turned on. If it is off, but hot, it was the first switch. If it is off and cool, it is the third switch.

Turn on the first switch.

Turn on the first switch. Leave it on for a few minutes, then turn it off. Turn on the second switch and then enter the room. If the light is on, the second switch controls the bulb. If it is off but the bulb is warm, it is the first switch. If it is off and the bulb is cool, it is the third switch.

Flip all the switches while looking 'under' the door ~ when the light comes on ~ open the door ! hehe
