DATE/TIME:
Monday, October 6, 2008 8:00pm - Monday, October 20, 2008 9:34am

THIS WISEWIT WAS OPEN FOR ... 13 Days + 13:34:00

Get ready for seven stages of species that have just one thing in common ... they are NOT A BOOBY!  They are neither a Red-Footed Booby nor a Blue-Footed Booby.  So, no matter how much you want to, don't guess that they're a booby, because they're not.

Each clue will be a series of blank spaces that represent the scientific species name.  When you submit your response, guess a letter (for example, "i") and the scientific species name (for example, "Sula Nebouxii").  For every guess of a letter, the blank spaces in the word are either filled in or that letter is eliminated.  The member to correctly guess the scientific species name will be the stage winner.  Additionally, bonus prizes are available for guessing the common name of the species.

This WiseWit was written and contributed by madmad59 of the human species.

Click COUNT ME IN! to sign-up to participate in this WiseWit.  Click the GOT IT! button nearest to the revealed clue to provide a response.

Please use the TELL A FRIEND feature in the right sidebar of this page to remind friends or interest new ones in this WiseWit.  Also, use the bookmarking links at the bottom of this page to spread the word about this WiseWit to other social sites where you hang out.

FOR THE FINAL CHALLENGE ...

GIVE US YOUR BEST CREATIVE INTERPRETATION OF A SINGLE SPECIES EVOLVED FROM ALL OF THESE SPECIES.

This challenge will be open for at least five days to allow for you to do your creative best.  Feel free to present as a drawing, digital art, sculpture, etc using any medium.  The most creative and entertaining interpretation takes the prize.

Bellavista, Galapagos (AP) - A biological expedition here has recently discovered a most unique creature, uncatalogued until now. The lead scientist, Dr. Darwin, shared with us his observations. He pulled out his sketchpad and continued to explain.Oct 11 2008 - 11:06pmView
