Twirly Lightbulbs

Anybody else bought those twirly lightbulbs ?  you know what I mean ...... don't cha? the eco-green, earth-friendly, energy efficient, twirly ones :)  Anyways, it just struck me tonight, that there are actually a couple of those very light bulbs here that are still working after 2 years  and the other 3 I installed at the same time, only had to be replaced once.(in 2 years)    that rocks ! ...  I've also noticed a huge difference in my electric bill to boot

!  They're not that expensive at Walmart etc.,  they make a huge difference in energy savings, the mercury content rumors are bogus, they beat having to change the old kind all the time, and the impact to the environment is minimal due to less useage on many levels... soooo, give 'em a try if ya haven't !   That's MY big lightbulb moment of the nite ! lol   ...

A few months ago, we switched all the bulbs in our house to the "swirly" ones.  Another plus that we noticed was how much brighter the room gets with them on.

Fluorescent light bulbs rock! You can get them for $0.99 now at certain stores, they are much much cheaper than they were a couple years ago.
